Advertising Terms

Scope

These advertising terms apply to every placement booked with Loonfeather, in addition to our general Terms of Use.

Booking

A placement is confirmed once we reply in writing with the price, run dates and creative deadline for your booking. Availability is not held until that confirmation is sent.

Creative deadlines

Creative material — your logo, description, sidebar copy or seasonal guide content — is due five business days before a placement's confirmed start date. Creative received after that date pushes the start of your placement back rather than shortening its run length.

Approval

We review submitted creative for fit with the placement format and for compliance with these terms before it runs. We may ask you to revise material that is unclear, unlawful or inconsistent with the placement booked; we do not approve material on behalf of a third party without your confirmation.

Make-goods

If a confirmed placement does not run as booked because of an error or omission on our part, we will either re-run the placement at no additional charge for an equivalent period, or issue a partial refund reflecting the portion that did not run, at your choice.

Editorial independence from advertising

Advertising placements are sold and produced separately from our news coverage. Booking a placement does not entitle an advertiser to influence, review or veto editorial content, and our reporting decisions are made without regard to whether a business or organization advertises with us.

Payment

Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars as published on our advertising page at the time of confirmation. Payment terms are set out in your confirmation message.

We may update these advertising terms from time to time; the date above reflects the most recent revision.
